Here are some more information for Colonial Half:

Merida Real Estate – Home in a Colonial City, and Much More
Real Estate buyers considering buying a Mexico Home will be pleasantly surprised by the variety offered by Yucatan Real Estate. While many people are familiar with real estate options on the Yucatan Peninsula, such as the high rise condos in Cancun, or the smaller town style of Playa del Carmen, many North American real estate buyers have also quietly taken advantage of excellent opportunities available in Merida Real Estate. The prospect of buying a home in Merida, and relocating to this beautiful city combines a special set of features for residents not found in many places, either in Mexico or the rest of the world.
First of all, living in a Merida home is, in itself, something unique. In or near the historic city center, there are numerous 18th an 19th century homes available. Many of these have been completely renovated in a way that retains their authentic Mexican style but offers the conveniences of a modernized home. There are also some "fixer-uppers" available, that have an excellent structural base, and a beautiful design, but are in need of renovation; these are perfect for those who like projects. In either case, homes in Merida are available for much less than other real estate locations in Mexico. And furthermore, residents of Merida enjoy living in a romantic, colonial city, that at the same time includes all the conveniences of a modern metropolitan.
But what about real estate buyers who want to live on the beachfront? While Merida is not beachfront city, the nearby community of Progreso both offers beachfront real estate options – homes or condos – and is an excellent beach to visit for residents of Merida, only half an hour away from the city. Many other beachfront communities exist within a short drive from the city.
Of course, people who have visited any part of the Yucatan Peninsula also know about the world famous Mayan pyramid sites. Chichen Itza, one of the new seven wonders of the ancient world, is perhaps the most popular, but by no means the only one. The many pyramid sites will provide variety for weekend visits and places to take visiting guests anytime.
These two points – Merida's colonial charm, and easy access to Mexico's beautiful beaches – are key factors for home buyers, but they are not the only items to be considered. Merida is surrounded by well kept "secrets." Among these are cenotes – pools in "sinkholes," or at the entrances to the Yucatan Peninsula's underground cave and river system. These are no regular caverns; the rugged, natural setting, and the pure, crystal clear water is a cool, refreshing place to take a swim on a hot summer day. Once a non-Mexican moves to Merida, they will soon get to know the best cenotes in the area, and will find these visits as satisfying as visiting the ocean.
Another example of an excellent way to enjoy nature are Yucatan's wildlife reserves. Within a couple hours drive from Merida is Rio Lagartos, where visitors can observe flamingos in their natural habitat. The visit requires a guided trip "into the wilderness" which adds to the overall experience. A little bit further away, but equally worthwhile is the Sian Ka'an Wildlife Reserve, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site; it is one of the most diverse areas in the world with regard to wildlife and plant life, and includes special areas for enjoying this wildlife in activities like kayaking or fishing.
These are only a handful of the many places to see and things to do on the Yucatan Peninsula; most visitors only have time for a brief glimpse of this diversity. Merida home owners have the special privilege of being in the heart of the Yucatan, in its largest colonial city, with easy access to many of the other activities available. Those considering buying real estate in Mexico should research Merida, both in terms as a place to live, and in terms of the real estate available.

Why do so many Americans loath Mexicans if it should be the other way around?
I mean, as far as I'm concerned, Mexicans didn't declare on the US an unfair war which made Mexico lost more than half of its territory. Americnas are not racially discriminated by Mexicans, Mexicans are peaceful unlike Americans, etc, etc.
I ask myself if Americans dislike Mexicans because they're jealous of their country, of their milliniar culture, of their great history, of their beautiful colonial towns and cities, of ther warm and freindly people, of their spectacular natural richness, of their beaches. Or why do you hate them so much?
The GOVERNMENT brain washed them! it's a good way to distracted them away from what is really going on in office.

Colonial: Northeastern avoids upset to Hofstra in double OT
Saturday's Colonial Athletic Association tournament roundup: Matt Janning hit a 3-pointer from the top of the key with 45.2 seconds left in the second overtime and Manny Adako blocked Cornelius Vines' trey on Hofstra's next possession to bring second-seeded Northeastern a 74-71 win over the Pride.
